I would like to become a business analyst in the software industry.
May I know what is the minimum qualification which I would like to have?
What course should I take in college to become a business analyst?
Currently I am planing on getting a degree in Business with IT in college, will that enable me to become a business analyst?
If you are passionate about the software domain, then a role like that of an IT Business Analyst might be appropriate.
IT Business Analysts do not rely on the specific knowledge of a particular domain, but typically possess a wider array of IT related skills.
You will need to have experience working in requirements management, UML and Use Cases, as well as an ability to work with business users.
The Business Analyst works with software developers, project managers, and customers to ensure that the vision for a product is carried out into fruition.
Start by gaining the experience in the required business analyst skills, then work in the IT / Software Development industry to understand the atmosphere and expectations and you will be on your way to becoming a software business analyst.
