I have been in banking for over eight years now as a wire transfer investigations officer.
I recently completed my BSc in Computing and Information Systems and at present I’m awaiting results.
I left my job at the bank to complete my final year and I’m considering entering the information technology field. I am aspiring to become a business analyst and would like guidance as to what should be my next step.
I have 7 years of recruitment & HR background and I want to make a career transition to Business Analysis.
How do I go about doing that?
Make a career change from a position as a Human Resource recruiting job to a business analyst. Use skills you would use as a business analyst to make this transition, from asking all the right questions and evaluating your decision to documentation and every other detail. Build a resume’ right where you are to get the experience and land a career as a business analyst.
I have 18 years of project management, sales, sales management experience in the automotive and playground recreational products industry and I recently decided that I want to become a Business Analyst.
My experience with problem solving complex issues, sales, project management experience and running a small business gives me a broad base of experience which appears to fit nicely with what this type of position requires.
I am however, lacking any formal training on the IT side, I am comfortable with computers and how they operate but I am struggling with how to best present myself to potential employers since I am weak on this side of things.
